Who we are

Welcome to DUIS – Dundee University Islamic Society, the heart of faith, friendship, and community on campus.

DUIS is one of the largest and most active non-subject societies on campus, open to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Our aim is to embrace Islam within student life by creating a space that’s welcoming, supportive and engaging for everyone.

DUIS prides itself in its yearly campaigns supporting both Muslims and non Muslims around the world.

Freshers - Allowing students to feel comfortable in new surroundings offering them both events and friendships

Week of Change - The biggest Charity campaign where we impact millions through fundraising

‘Giving back to Dundee’ - A month dedicated to giving back to the Dundee community whether it be foodbank drives, helping out in soup kitchens or just raising money with the sole aim of helping those who are most vulnerable especially in the winter months

Refreshers - Reinvigorating students for a new semester and welcoming those who join us in second semester.

Discover Islam Week - A week dedicated to spreading dawah all across campus and beyond

Ramadhan - The holiest month in the Islamic calendar, allowing students to bring themselves closer to the religion by taking part in DUIS Iftars, Taraweeh and educational events.
